Isaac Success out of Eaglets match against Iraq – FIFA U-17 World Cup 2013
Nigeria Under-17 Golden Eaglets forward Isaac Success has been ruled out of today’s final group F match against Iraq.
Success suffered a hamstring injury in the last game against Sweden and he is yet to recover.
The Eaglets coach Manu Garba assues Nigeria that despite the loss of striker Isaac Success, his players will deliver when they play their last Group F match against Iraq at the Al Rashid Stadium in Dubai on today.
“Success had a scan today and it is unfortunate that he would not be available against Iraq,” said Manu. “But we have other players who can do the job and a good example is Taiwo Awoniyi who scored the equaliser against Sweden.”
With the group still wide open, Manu says nothing but victory will do.
“We have no other way than to win our game against Iraq and Insha Allah (by the grace of Allah), we are going to win,” Manu said.
“We respect Iraq but we are going to do everything in our capacity to win this match because our objective is to do very well at this championship.”
